Starbucks is selling alcohol, too

By: Renzo Ruf, BMG

In Seattle, a new Starbucks cafe is selling wine and beer -- a pilot that shows how hard Starbucks is working reinvigorate its brand, reports "The Huffington Post".

If the boozy new innovations succeed at “Olive Way” in Seattle, other Starbucks stores may soon follow suit, the "New York Daily News" says. It’s all part of the Starbucks’ goal to reinvigorate itself after it over-expanded too quickly and then had to close hundreds of stores. The chain now is striving to convey an image of a place where customers feel like lounging for hours just sipping a cup of coffee. “The idea in the restaurant business is to differentiate themselves, and clearly they’re making a move to do that,” Morningstar restaurant analyst R.J. Hottovy told "The Huffington Post". (bmg)
