Sapporo Holdings estimates smaller net loss for first half of 2010

Sapporo Holdings Ltd., which has major beer manufacturer Sapporo Breweries Ltd. under its wing, said it expects a smaller group net loss for the first half of its fiscal year due to cost cuts in advertisement and sales promotion.

Previously, the Japanese brewer predicted a loss of 2.000 million yen. The current forecast says that the loss during the first six months will only be 600 million yen. (bmg)
